About the team The Direct Surfaces Team's mission is to make it delightful for users to manage their money. We're rebuilding and unbundling the core of Stripe so that no matter what the business, the location, or the use case there is a single place that can fulfill all financial needs: Stripe Treasury. This is a 0 → 1 new business at Stripe, so if that sounds exciting we'd love to hear from you. What you'll do Engineers at Stripe are comfortable working on new products under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations all in service of our users. Responsibilities Deliver a world-class mobile experience for Treasury users, including working with our partners to design and launch new features and capabilities Scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for our products to iteratively evolve and scale Design, build, expand, and maintain mobile-specific view cross-platform components, backing APIs and their services Align our technical decisions with the broad strategic initiatives at Stripe, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businesses Work with engineers across the company to understand when to leverage existing infrastructure versus when building a bespoke solution is prudent Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. About the team We're a mobile engineering team based in Barcelona, focused on building world-class mobile applications that deliver excellent user experiences for Stripe merchants. React Native is at the core of how we build—it lets us move fast, share code across platforms, and ship high-quality experiences to millions of businesses worldwide without compromise. As a Senior Mobile Engineer on our team, you'll help shape our React Native architecture, set the bar for engineering quality, and play a meaningful role in defining what great mobile development looks like at Stripe. This is a high-impact role where your decisions will be felt across the product—and across the millions of merchants who depend on our apps every day. What you'll do As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll own significant parts of our React Native codebase, lead architectural decisions, and help grow the team around you. You'll work closely with product, design, and cross-functional partners to deliver polished, performant mobile experiences. We are looking for new team members who value collaboration, usability, and excellence to maintain and build new features that span web and native code. You’ll work closely with your engineering peers to chart out upcoming work and how best to execute on it. You’ll brainstorm with cross-functional partners (design, product, research, data science) to deliver delightful mobile experiences to Figma’s users.
