Optimize performance across the enterprise funnel, from account engagement and qualified demand through opportunities, pipeline, and revenue, with clear attribution and incrementality frameworks. Develop audience and messaging strategies for buying committees, industries, company sizes, use cases, and stages of the enterprise purchase journey. Create a closed-loop operating rhythm with Sales and Marketing Operations that turns account-level signals, pipeline quality, and win/loss feedback into channel decisions. Design experiments and scalable playbooks across markets while accounting for regional sales motions, localization needs, privacy constraints, and platform nuances. Build AI-enabled creative, targeting, reporting, and optimization workflows that increase speed and personalization while maintaining quality and control. You might thrive in this role if you have: 10+ years of B2B growth, demand generation, or performance marketing experience, including meaningful ownership of enterprise programs. 6+ years of deep, hands-on experience leading paid marketing across channels, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Affiliate, at both an operational and strategic level. A strong track record building and scaling enterprise ABM programs that generate measurable account engagement, qualified pipeline, and revenue. Experience partnering closely with Sales, GTM, field marketing, product marketing, and marketing operations to plan and execute integrated campaigns. Deep understanding of complex B2B buying journeys, buying committees, long sales cycles, account segmentation, and sales-assisted conversion. Experience connecting media and account signals across CRM, marketing automation, intent, attribution, and BI systems to guide investment decisions. Strong analytical and experimentation skills, including incrementality, attribution tradeoffs, pipeline measurement, and translating analysis into action. About the Team OpenAI's mission is to ensure that artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity. OpenAI for Government works with U.S. and allied government institutions to support the responsible adoption of AI across defense, intelligence, federal civilian, state and local, and international public-sector missions. We work at the intersection of technology, policy, operations, security, and delivery to help public servants use frontier AI in ways that are effective, trusted, aligned with democratic values, and grounded in real-world consequences. The team helps government agencies transform how they work through secure, compliant AI tools and mission-aligned deployments, including ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Gov, APIs, Codex, and emerging frontier capabilities. We partner with government leaders, operators, technologists, and policy stakeholders to translate cutting-edge AI into measurable mission impact while meeting government requirements for safety, reliability, security, compliance, and trust. Cyber is a critical government mission area. OpenAI's government cyber work brings together OpenAI for Government, Product, Research, Security, Product Policy, Legal, Global Affairs, and Communications to help trusted public-sector defenders responsibly use AI to protect government networks, critical infrastructure, and national-security systems. About the Role We are seeking a senior government cyber leader to serve as Head of Government Cyber Integration for OpenAI for Government. This role will integrate OpenAI's government cyber work across strategy, testing and evaluation, trusted access, deployment, policy, security, and external engagement. This is a matrix leadership role, not a replacement for line management. Product teams still own product roadmaps. Research and Safety still own model capability measurement and risk mitigation. Security still owns OpenAI's security posture and customer security requirements. Product Policy, Legal, and Global Affairs still own policy, legal, and government-affairs judgments. OpenAI for Government owns government delivery. The Head of Government Cyber Integration owns coherence across the government cyber mission: maintaining the full sight picture, clarifying ownership, convening the right cross-functional group, translating government requirements into action, and escalating decisions that cut across functions. The role should make OpenAI more legible, credible, and useful to government cyber-defense stakeholders. The Head of Government Cyber Integration will provide senior support and strategic guidance to OpenAI's government cyber testing and evaluation work, help drive OpenAI for Government's cyber strategy, advise on trusted-defender workflows and access programs, and ensure that product, research, security, policy, and deployment decisions are informed by real government cyber missions. In this role, you will: Lead government cyber integration for OpenAI for Government, creating one shared operating picture across trusted-defender access, government cyber evaluations, priority customers, model and product readiness, deployment constraints, policy decisions, and communications moments. Provide strategic advice and support to OpenAI's government cyber testing and evaluation, including sensitive engagements with NSA, CISA, CYBERCOM/CNMF, CAISI/AISI, allied government cyber agencies, and trusted external evaluators. Advise OpenAI for Government on cyber strategy, priority agencies and missions, government trusted access expansion for cyber models, classified and accredited deployment considerations, senior cyber stakeholder engagement, and how to sequence government cyber opportunities. Translate government cyber requirements into clear product, research, security, and deployment asks, working closely with Product/Codex Cyber, Research/Safety, Security, Public Sector Security, and deployment teams. Chair a regular government cyber cross-functional team that keeps owners aligned, resolves ambiguity, identifies gaps, and forces unresolved tradeoffs into writing before they become blockers. Maintain a living inventory of government cyber programs, open questions, owners, dependencies, advisors, candidates, customer commitments, and decisions needed. Partner with Product Policy, Legal, Global Affairs, and Safety on defensive-use boundaries, government cyber authorities, access governance, ZDR/Eyes-Off tradeoffs, customer attestations, internal governance escalations, and responsible-access framing. Translate cyber evaluation findings into concrete recommendations for government deployment, access, safeguards, safety-stack expectations, security controls, monitoring, escalation, and external engagement. Represent OpenAI credibly with senior government, allied, and cyber-defense stakeholders, translating between technical evidence, operational cyber needs, policy implications, and deployment decisions. Help identify, recruit, and onboard government cyber talent, advisors, evaluators, and partners who strengthen OpenAI's ability to support trusted public-sector defenders. You might thrive in this role if you: Have held senior cybersecurity, cyber operations, intelligence, or national-security leadership roles and are trusted by government, industry, and technical cyber communities. Bring deep credibility with NSA, CISA, CYBERCOM/CNMF, CAISI/AISI, allied cyber agencies, and public/private cyber-defense partners. Understand how government cyber missions, authorities, procurement paths, accreditation requirements, and operational constraints differ from ordinary commercial cybersecurity motions. Can move fluidly between cyber operations, defensive workflows, frontier AI capability, evaluations, product strategy, security controls, policy constraints, and executive decision-making. Are comfortable advising without owning every reporting line, and can create alignment across teams with different incentives, vocabularies, and risk tolerances. Can distinguish evaluation signal from noise, explain uncertainty clearly, and turn ambiguous technical findings into decisions about government deployment, access, safeguards, and external engagement. Think clearly about the defensive/offensive cyber boundary and understand why real national-security cyber missions often require practical judgment rather than simplistic categories. Have the executive presence to be OpenAI for Government's senior cyber voice externally while maintaining enough technical curiosity and humility to stay grounded in the work of product, research, security, and safety teams. About the Team The Personal AGI team is responsible for training and improving pre-trained models to be deployed into ChatGPT, the API, and potential future products. In the Model Experience team, we shape the default character and behavior of ChatGPT: how the model communicates, responds to users, uses its capabilities, and behaves across different contexts and languages. Our goal is to make every interaction with ChatGPT thoughtful, helpful, and trustworthy. We take an opinionated view of what good human–AI interaction should look like, then turn that vision into real model behavior through human data, evaluations, reward models, and post-training. Our work sits at the intersection of research, product, and model design. We partner closely with teams across OpenAI to conduct research and ensure our models are thoughtful, safe, reliable to serve millions of users. About the Role As a Research Engineer / Scientist, you will research and develop improvements to our models. Our team works in research areas combining reinforcement learning and products. We're looking for individuals with strong ML engineering skills and research experience, especially with novel and highly capable models. An ideal candidate is passionate about product-driven research and the quality of human-AI interaction. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Own and pursue a research agenda to improve model capability and performance. Collaborate closely with the other research and product teams, allowing customers to optimize their own models. Build robust evaluations for tracking modeling improvements. Design, implement, test, and debug code across our research stack. You might thrive in this role if you: Have a deep understanding of machine learning and machine learning applications. Have good judgment about model behavior and can communicate this judgment effectively. Enjoy taking ambitious, qualitative problems and turning them into concrete training interventions. Have a working knowledge of relevant models, and building evaluations for model capability improvement. Are comfortable diving into a large ML codebase to debug. Thrive in a dynamic, technically complex, and collaborative environment.
