About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is seeking Software Engineers to join our Observability team within the Infrastructure organization. The Observability team owns the monitoring and telemetry infrastructure that every engineer and researcher at Anthropic depends on—from metrics and logging pipelines to distributed tracing, profiling, error analytics, alerting, and the dashboards and query interfaces that make it all actionable. By joining this team, you'll have a direct impact on the reliability and operational excellence of Anthropic's research and product systems. As Anthropic scales its infrastructure across massive GPU, TPU, and Trainium clusters, the volume and complexity of operational data is growing by orders of magnitude—and an increasing share of the hardest problems live below the application layer. We're building next-generation observability systems—high-throughput telemetry pipelines, fleet-wide continuous profiling, eBPF-based tracing and network visibility, and agentic diagnostic tools—so engineers can detect, diagnose, and resolve issues in minutes rather than hours, even when the answer lies in the kernel, the network stack, or an accelerator rather than on a dashboard. Key responsibilities Design and build scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and error data across Anthropic's multi-cluster infrastructure Build observability solutions that give engineers deep, low-overhead visibility into system behavior across the fleet Own and evolve core observability platforms, driving migrations and architectural improvements that improve reliability, reduce cost, and scale with organizational growth Build instrumentation libraries, SDKs, and eBPF-based auto-instrumentation to emit high-quality telemetry, with and without code changes Reduce mean time to detection and resolution by building cross-signal correlation—from kernel-level events up to application traces—unified query interfaces, and AI-assisted diagnostic tooling Drive fleet-wide efficiency by turning continuous profiling and utilization telemetry into actionable optimization insights across CPU, memory, and accelerator fleets Partner with Research, Inference, Product, and Infrastructure teams to ensure observability solutions meet the unique needs of each organization Minimum qualifications Have hands-on experience building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure Have deep, hands-on experience with observability signals end to end—from instrumentation through ingest to query and analysis Understand high-throughput telemetry pipelines and the tradeoffs involved in collecting, storing, and querying operational data at scale Are comfortable digging below the application layer into the kernel, the network stack, or the hardware Have excellent communication skills and enjoy partnering with internal teams to improve their operational visibility and incident response capabilities Are excited about building foundational infrastructure and comfortable navigating ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges, both independently and with a team Preferred qualifications 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure Experience building or operating eBPF-based observability in production—tracing, profiling, or network visibility Experience running continuous profiling at fleet scale, including managing overhead budgets and symbolization Kernel- and syscall-level debugging experience and performance engineering craft Experience profiling or instrumenting accelerator workloads Experience operating metrics systems at very high cardinality, or large-scale telemetry storage backends Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation, collector pipelines, and tail-based sampling strategies Interest in applying AI/LLMs to operational workflows such as automated root cause analysis, anomaly detection, or intelligent alerting The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: £325,000 — £390,000 GBP Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. About Supabase Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth. About the Role We are seeking a platform engineer to join our Compute Capacity team. This team owns the capacity plan that keeps compute supply ahead of demand across every region we operate in — the forecasting, buffer policy, and provisioning systems that make sure a project never runs into a wall it didn't know was there. You'll work on the systems that turn a capacity plan into provisioned reality: reservation acquisition, fleet reconciliation, and the automation that keeps what we've committed to in sync with what we're actually running. You'll help build the metrics and alerting that let capacity problems surface months out, on vendor lead time, rather than at the moment someone needs the room. You'll design, build, and operate systems that are both robust and highly automated — helping us hold the right buffer at the right cost, catch drift before it becomes a shortage, and give every team a single, trustworthy view of how much room we have across the millions of databases we manage. What You'll Be Responsible For Help build and maintain the capacity plan that keeps Supabase's compute supply ahead of demand across regions and instance families Support buffer policy by modeling headroom targets and their cost tradeoffs for review and sign-off Build and maintain automation that turns the capacity plan into provisioned reality — reservation acquisition and top-up, fleet reconciliation, drift detection between committed and running capacity Extend our infrastructure as code for capacity-relevant provisioning Instrument capacity: build and maintain metrics for saturation, reservation coverage, idle buffer, forecast error, and provisioning latency Build and tune capacity alerting so headroom, quota, and reservation issues surface months out rather than at the moment of impact Support the demand gate — helping intake large customer commitments, launches, migrations, and new regions so they reach the plan before they reach the fleet Contribute to mitigation projects: right-sizing, instance-family migrations, autoscaling improvements, workload consolidation Help drive down compute cost per database through right-sizing, placement, and commitment coverage work Participate in capacity incident response and post-incident follow-through You Might Be A Good Fit If You Have 5+ years across infrastructure engineering, SRE, platform, or capacity engineering, ideally at SaaS or cloud infrastructure scale Have production software engineering experience — you've owned and operated a service , not just a notebook. Comfortable in modern languages like TypeScript, Python , and Go Are comfortable working against forecasts and assumptions that are incomplete, and can revise your work as those assumptions change Have experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi or Terraform) Have built or maintained observability for systems you own — metrics that answer real questions and alerting people trust (Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar); Have solid working knowledge of AWS EC2 : instance families and generations, purchase options, capacity reservations, and quota mechanics Have some financial fluency — you understand reservation economics and the basic tradeoffs between coverage, utilization, and cost Communicate clearly across audiences, from engineers to finance stakeholders What We Offer Fully Remote We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world. Who We Are Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together . We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. About The Role Notion is reimagining how customers adopt, expand, and realize value from software in an AI-native world. As a first-line leader directly managing a team of Outcomes Architects, you’ll own your team’s execution across workflow adoption, value realization, renewal readiness, expansion qualification, and at-risk account recovery — accountable for both the customer outcomes and the quality of execution that produces them. This isn’t a traditional Customer Success management role. The best OA Managers are coaches first: they know what great workflow discovery looks like, can review a mutual success plan and identify where value realization is breaking down, can inspect an executive business review and sharpen the value narrative, and can help an OA turn account activity into measurable customer and commercial outcomes. You’ll run an inspection cadence and cultivate a coaching culture that make consistent execution possible across the team. You’ll partner closely with Solutions Consultant leaders, Services, Support, Product, and RevOps to ensure customers move from workflow design to adoption, value realization, expansion, and renewal readiness. If you’re a builder who loves developing people as much as driving customer impact — and you want to lead a team in a post-sales motion that’s being redefined for the AI era — this is the role What You’ll Achieve Own the Net Revenue Growth performance of your team’s book of business , accountable for both headline outcomes and the quality of execution that drives workflow adoption, value realization, renewal readiness, and expansion. Coach OAs on the OA builder motion : AI Transformation Plans, build-beside workshops, value reviews, use-case consultations, and renewal processes. Build and run the operating cadence for the team : metrics reviews, account support sessions, adoption and renewal-risk reviews, call coaching against the OA quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership. Hire, onboard, and certify new OAs to the GTM builder motion , driving readiness from ramp through consistent execution and managing performance with clarity when expectations are not met. Partner closely with Solutions Consultant managers and leaders on strategy for expansion and renewal across shared accounts, ensuring clear ownership for flat and at-risk renewals. Partner with Services leadership to identify complex implementation needs early, create clear handoffs, and ensure Services delivery accelerates workflow adoption and measurable value. Set the standard for product, AI, and workflow fluency across the team so OAs can help customers navigate new ways of working and build durable systems in Notion. Represent your team or region in leadership forums with clear signal on what's working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down Uphold excellence by coaching to the global OA methodology, quality rubric, and activity KPIs. Skills You’ll Need to Bring Frontline management experience leading customer-facing GTM teams in B2B software, ideally across Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Account Management, or post-sales strategy. Direct experience coaching teams through customer discovery, workflow design, adoption planning, value realization, renewals, expansion, or technical/workflow implementation. Strong coaching orientation: you can review a customer call, account plan, mutual success plan, or executive value narrative and identify specifically what needs to change — not just whether the outcome was good, but why and how to improve it. Commercial instincts at the team level: able to read account health, renewal risk, adoption depth, expansion potential, and customer sentiment, then drive urgency without micromanaging every account. Deep customer-facing discovery instincts, with the ability to understand business problems, map workflows, and translate goals into practical adoption and implementation plans. Experience operating in a shared account ownership model with Sales, Solutions, Services, Support, or Implementation teams. Operational rigor: you know how to build inspection cadences, coaching rituals, performance standards, and accountability systems that improve execution across a team. Ability to develop talent from onboarding through consistent performance, including hiring to profile, setting clear expectations, coaching skill gaps, and managing performance with clarity. Executive communication skills: able to synthesize account patterns, customer risks, team performance, and cross-functional asks into clear signal for leadership. Technical fluency and presence as a trusted advisor. You do not need to build every workflow yourself, but you should be able to understand Notion systems, coach workflow design, and help your team troubleshoot adoption blockers. You operate with agency, urgency, and customer empathy, bringing structure to ambiguous problems and helping teams move from ideas to working systems. You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious, hands-on, and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter, coach better, and help customers deliver better outcomes. Nice to Haves Experience managing in a consumption, usage-based, or product-led business where adoption signals matter as much as renewal or expansion outcomes. Track record building high-performing frontline teams from an early stage: hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, coaching, and performance management. Experience leading teams through GTM motion changes, coverage-model shifts, or evolving commercial ownership. Experience working with flat, at-risk, or complex renewal accounts and helping teams return customers to a clear value path. Experience partnering closely with Solutions Consulting, Sales, Services, or Implementation teams in a shared customer lifecycle model. Familiarity with AI transformation, workflow automation, agents, or collaboration/work management software. A Note on AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. Equal Opportunity & Accommodations We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply.
