About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As Head of Regulated Industries – Customer Success at Anthropic, you'll lead the Success teams responsible for our most complex Financial Services (FSI) and Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) customers. Think banks, insurers, asset and wealth managers and financial data providers; health systems, hospitals and payers; and pharmaceutical, biotech and life-sciences organizations. You'll directly coach and develop a team of Customer Success Managers who drive value across the full product portfolio (Claude Platform, Claude Code, Claude Cowork). These are organizations where deployment runs through compliance, procurement, security review, model risk and legal before it reaches an end user. You'll partner day to day with the Regulated Industries sales organization so that customers experience one Anthropic from first conversation to production. You'll turn what works at one regulated customer into a methodology that works at the next. That means success plans that anticipate the governance gates. Executive programs that reach the CIO, CISO, CRO and compliance leaders who decide whether Claude gets deployed. Expansion plays that survive long procurement cycles. You’ll inherit a partially formed team, spanning individual contributors and managers. You'll hire and run the initial team yourself. As the book expands you'll continue to add managers underneath you and manage through them. We're looking for someone who has already led a success business in regulated environments and wants to build the operating model that lets it scale. Responsibilities: Directly manage and develop a team of Customer Success Managers covering Financial Services and Healthcare & Life Sciences enterprise accounts — the Regulated Industries book — across all Anthropic products. Own the hiring plan for the team, including sourcing for regulated-industry experience, onboarding and ramp design; later, hire and develop team leads and shift to managing through them. Coach the team on success practice specific to regulated customers. That includes navigating compliance, procurement, security and model-risk reviews; building champions across business, technology and risk functions; change management under strict controls; and value realization across consumption and seat-based models. Drive team accountability to core CS metrics: expansion (consumption growth, adoption), customer health, retention (NRR) and customer satisfaction (CSAT). Join strategic customer engagements and escalations, with executive presence in front of CIOs, CISOs, chief risk and compliance officers, heads of business lines and board-level sponsors. Build and refine the regulated-industries success methodology. Success planning frameworks that map the governance path to consumption; QBR and executive-briefing templates; security and compliance readiness playbooks; reference architectures and expansion playbooks that transfer from one regulated customer to the next. Partner closely with the Regulated Industries sales organization to align on account strategy, set clear ownership between AEs and CSMs, and manage handoffs so long deployment cycles don't stall between teams. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal and Marketing to advocate for regulated customers' needs and translate field signal into product direction. Establish an AI-first, innovation-focused team culture; improve team processes and deepen hands-on product expertise. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and career development planning for direct reports. Own portfolio-level planning and forecasting, including renewal-risk mitigation and consumption development across the regulated book. Serve as the escalation point for at-risk customers and complex situations in the team's portfolio. Develop advocacy assets for regulated customers: case studies, references and reference architectures that can be shared within compliance constraints. Champion responsible AI deployment practices with customers and represent Anthropic's values in every customer interaction. You may be a good fit if you have: 10+ years in customer success, account management or customer-facing roles, with 5+ years of front-line management experience; 2+ years of experience managing managers. Direct experience driving a Success business with regulated customers — financial services, healthcare and life sciences, or comparable regulated sectors. That means working through compliance, procurement, security review, risk and legal gates and consensus-building across executives to get to consumption. A proven track record of managing and building customer success teams in SaaS, API or AI/ML companies. Experience managing enterprise portfolios, including accounts with multi-million dollar annual contract values and deployment cycles measured in quarters, not weeks. Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes in organizations with many decision-makers and no single owner, and to coach a team to do the same. A strong understanding of both consumption-based and seat-based business models, with a record of driving adoption, expansion and value realization across them. Experience developing repeatable frameworks, playbooks or enablement programs that other teams adopted independently of you. Technical fluency to understand AI/ML products and the deployment, data and security considerations regulated customers raise. Working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance frameworks these customers operate under e.g. HIPAA, FDA and healthcare data-security requirements Strong executive presence with both business and risk-side leaders. Represents Anthropic credibly in a CISO or model-risk conversation as well as a CFO one. Strong business acumen: articulating value, calculating ROI and driving customer business outcomes. The ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, and to context-switch between coaching, customer engagement and operational planning. A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality Passion for responsible AI development and for helping customers transform their businesses with cutting-edge technology. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. About the role Anthropic is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the technical foundation for how Anthropic educates customers and enterprises at scale, and to shape what that even means when AI is the delivery mechanism, not just the subject being taught. Your work will define how millions of people experience learning about Claude: how content is served and adapted in real time, how assessments respond to what a learner actually understands, how credentialing systems verify genuine competence rather than course completion, and how the entire platform evolves as fast as the product it teaches. You'll build the infrastructure that makes AI-native education real — not as a concept, but as a working system that people interact with every day. You’ll own the technical vision for our AI-driven educational experience: the platform layer, enterprise readiness features, the data architecture, the AI-augmented pipelines, the integrations, and the delivery systems. You'll work with a handful of highly technical educational collaborators to own the technical vision and execution for how Anthropic’s education team delivers educational experiences at scale, and you'll build the AI-augmented pipelines and platform capabilities that let a small team of educators operate with reach and responsiveness that would otherwise require an organization ten times larger. This is an engineering role for someone who genuinely cares about how people learn. You'll make platform decisions that are deeply educational, and you need the judgment to make those decisions well, not just implement someone else's spec. You'll interface closely with Anthropic's security, infrastructure, and data teams, and you'll partner with trainers and educators on the GTM, devrel, and education teams who will be your primary stakeholders. Responsibilities Architect and own Anthropic’s enterprise ready education platform and infrastructure — authentication/SSO, learner data models, content delivery, credentialing, and progress tracking — designed for scale, AI-forward features, and reliability from day one Own the technical vision for how Anthropic delivers AI-driven educational experiences and shaping what's possible, not just building what's requested. You’ll determine what to build, what to extend, and what to replace as needs evolve Build AI-augmented pipelines for content generation, real-time adaptation, assessment delivery, and quality assurance — working closely with the education team to understand what these systems need to do pedagogically Design platform capabilities that enable genuinely new kinds of empowering learning experiences — adaptive paths, competency-based progression, AI-evaluated demonstrations of skill — not just digital versions of traditional courses Interface with Anthropic's security, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure education systems meet organizational standards and integrate cleanly with existing architecture Build platform abstractions that let non-engineers on the team configure, extend, and experiment with educational experiences without engineering bottlenecks Make product-level decisions about how the platform works — you're shaping what the learning experience is, not just serving it You may be a good fit if you have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to take a platform from zero to production at scale Genuine passion for education — you think about how people learn, you have opinions about what educational technology should look like in an AI-native world, and you want to build it A strong eye for quality educational content, with a sense of the complex systems that produce it Full-stack engineering skills with particular strength in backend systems: databases, APIs, authentication, reliability, and infrastructure Experience building and operating platforms that serve many concurrent users reliably Comfort with ambiguity and ownership: you'll need to translate pedagogical intent into technical architecture without heavy specification Experience interfacing with security and infrastructure teams to meet organizational requirements while maintaining development velocity A working practice of using AI tools in your own engineering workflows — and genuine curiosity about how AI fundamentally changes what educational platforms can be Strong candidates may also have Experience building or significantly contributing to learning platforms, credentialing systems, or educational technology products Background in or exposure to learning science, instructional design, or educational research Experience with SSO/identity (SAML, OAuth), badging standards (Open Badges), or LTI integrations Familiarity with building systems that incorporate LLM capabilities as core infrastructure Prior work at a high-growth company where you built platform infrastructure that other teams depended on Experience designing systems that non-technical users configure and operate The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. About the role There are close to a billion knowledge workers in the world, and only a small fraction of them have discovered what it feels like to work alongside AI that actually raises their game. Getting the rest of the way there isn't a single campaign or launch — it's an integrated marketing and growth motion: the right story, reaching the right persona, backed by activation and campaign work that turns a first try into habitual use. That's what this role owns. We're looking for a Product Marketing Lead to own the GTM Strategy and integrated growth motion that makes Claude for Knowledge Work — chat, Cowork, Claude for Office, Tag and more — the default AI collaborator for knowledge workers. You'll define the Marketing & growth strategy by segment for our core knowledge-work products, and coordinate the work streams that acquire and activate both users and accounts and drive their success. This role provides direction, coordination, and fuel across Demand Generation, Growth, Brand, Events, Campaigns, Field Marketing, and Success. This is a GTM-oriented product marketer: deep in messaging and product truth, expressed through narrative content, campaigns, activation programs, and community. You'll build and run programs personally from day one, backed by many internal teams. If you've owned an awareness-to-success marketing motions end to end for a product line, know how to turn product truth into content and campaigns that land with various segments and personas, and want to build the motion that gets millions of knowledge workers to change how they work, this role is for you. Key responsibilities Define the Marketing and growth strategy, segment by segment. Build a marketing plan per priority segment or function, prioritizing where to lead first and what to deliberately not do yet. Set the content direction for Claude for Knowledge Work. Shape flagship narrative content based on the plan and campaign needs, building on the messaging and launch foundations owned by Core PMM. Turn activation into a flywheel inside enterprise accounts. Identify and activate champions, coordinate workshops and webinars, and run lifecycle programs for various personas inside top accounts, inspiring knowledge workers to raise their ambitions and deliver more impact with Claude. Own the flagship acquisition and activation campaigns. Define and run the "Hand off your tasks to Claude" integrated programs, choosing channels and activations that fit the audience. Inform the digital, social, and field motions. Shape the Knowledge Work digital, social, and influencer motion — ops, finance, legal, marketing, and productivity creators — and our social presence in this space. Coordinate without owning. Provide direction, coordination, and fuel across Demand Generation, Growth, Brand, Events, Campaigns, Field Marketing, and Success, so the growth motion moves as one program without duplicating any team's mandate. Build and ship the work yourself. Operate as an individual contributor in year one — write the plans, build the campaigns, and ship the content directly, with room to grow a team as the motion matures. Report on what the motion is actually driving. Track and share progress against awareness and preference, growth (WAUs and enterprise account depth), revenue contribution, and campaign efficiency. Minimum qualifications Have experience creating marketing programs for functional personas, whether users or buyers (e.g., Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales) Excel at cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of driving work through influence across Demand Generation, Growth, Brand, Events, Campaigns, Field Marketing, and Success, without direct authority over any of them Possess strong storytelling and content instincts, with a track record of flagship narrative content such as executive series or customer story programs Demonstrate grit and leadership, with a track record of driving results in ambitious, high-scale, high-velocity environments Are comfortable operating autonomously as an IC in year one, building and shipping plans, campaigns, and content directly rather than through a team Preferred qualifications 10+ years of growth and product marketing and/or demand gen experience for portfolio or product-line scope Experience marketing a productivity, collaboration, or AI-powered enterprise product to knowledge workers, as distinct from developers A background running community, influencer, or creator programs for a B2B audience Experience building unaided awareness and preference for a specific product name or term within a category where the parent brand already has strong general awareness — building a name, not a category, from scratch Experience reading and responding to competitive dynamics in a fast-moving market Role-specific policy: For this role, we expect all staff to be able to work from our San Francisco or New York office at least 2 days a week. We encourage you to apply even if you might need some flexibility for an interim period of time for relocation. Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. About the role Anthropic’s engineers are building some of the most ambitious AI systems and applications in the world. We also help engineers, architects, and technical practitioners across Anthropic, our partners, and our customers learn to build with Claude. Until now, technical instruction has largely been a shared responsibility. We are building a dedicated technical instruction function to make that learning exceptional and ensure that everyone who teaches in Anthropic’s technical programs meets a consistent, high bar. We are looking for a Technical Instructor Lead in New York to help bring that standard to life. About half of your time will be spent delivering ILT hands-on technical instruction in New York and remotely across European time zones. The other half will be spent developing other instructors, running train-the-trainer programs, and improving the quality and consistency of technical instruction across programs. You are an engineer who teaches and a teacher who makes other teachers better. You can build an agent live in front of a skeptical staff engineer, diagnose a broken lab while a room of learners waits, and adapt when a lesson is not landing. You can also watch another instructor teach for ten minutes and identify the one change that will materially improve their next session. This is not primarily an instructional design or classroom facilitation role. You should be comfortable writing code, debugging technical systems, and teaching practitioners who may know more than you do about their particular domain. You will report to the Head of Technical Training. Key responsibilities Deliver hands-on technical instruction across Anthropic’s onboarding, residency, and technical enablement programs, in person in New York and remotely across European time zones. Model excellent technical teaching for audiences ranging from small, interactive labs to 100+ technical practitioners, adapting to different levels of experience and technical depth. Run train-the-trainer programs for internal experts, contract instructors, and training partners, using Anthropic’s practice-teach, feedback, and certification processes. Coach and calibrate instructors through live and recorded observations, actionable feedback, and recommendations on readiness to teach specific content. Partner with technical experts to turn subject matter expertise into effective sessions, labs, exercises, and demonstrations, and improve content based on what happens in the room. Own instructional quality in assigned programs, staffing yourself and cleared instructors into East Coast program calendars and ensuring delivery meets Anthropic’s standards. Use learner and instructor data to identify gaps in instruction and recommend improvements to curriculum, delivery, and instructor development. Help evolve Anthropic’s technical instruction function, bringing your experience from the room into our standards, instructor development practices, and approach to scaling quality. Minimum qualifications 6+ years of relevant professional experience across software engineering, solutions engineering, developer advocacy, technical education, or another technically deep role. 3+ years of hands-on technical instruction, including teaching engineers in live environments both in person and remotely. You know how to make difficult technical concepts click and how to adapt when they do not. Production engineering experience. You have written and shipped production software and can engage credibly with experienced engineers on architecture, implementation, debugging, and technical tradeoffs. Recent hands-on AI development. Within the past three years, you have built or debugged applications using LLM APIs, agents, tool use, MCP, or related technologies. You are comfortable with rapidly changing AI development tools and unfamiliar technical problems. Instructor development experience. You have helped other instructors or technical presenters improve through observation, structured feedback, practice teaching, or train-the-trainer programs. New York City location or willingness to relocate. You will work from our NYC office whenever an instructor-led program is in session there, typically around three days per week. The role includes approximately 25% travel to San Francisco and, over time, Europe. Preferred qualifications Experience designing or operating a train-the-trainer, instructor certification, or observer-calibration program. A portfolio of sessions, labs, or courses you have designed and taught, plus material you created so others could teach it. Experience teaching across time zones or to European audiences, including coaching instructors from recorded sessions. Experience using Claude Code or a comparable agentic coding tool as a significant part of your engineering workflow. Experience building with the Claude Developer Platform through Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Microsoft Foundry, or comparable infrastructure. Experience with public speaking, conference workshops, or developer advocacy. Deep enthusiasm for AI and a genuine commitment to building and deploying it responsibly. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $270,000 — $365,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. About the role The world's engineers want to get the most out of Claude. At Anthropic, technical instruction already happens everywhere: our Applied AI and Forward Deployed Engineering teams teach customers and partners, and engineers across the company help others learn to build with Claude. Today that instruction is a shared responsibility, delivered alongside people's primary roles. As demand grows, we need to turn that distributed expertise into a dedicated technical instruction function. You will build that function. You will be the first person at Anthropic whose full-time job is technical instruction. You'll spend your first year primarily in the classroom teaching engineers, architects, and other technical practitioners. You'll also build the people, standards, and systems that let Anthropic's technical instruction scale far beyond the people we directly employ. This is a player-coach role. From day one you manage a small bench of instructors. You set the bar for what "ready to teach" means, decide who is cleared to teach a given module in Anthropic's technical programs, and assess facilitators from our training partners against that bar. You're an engineer who teaches and a teacher who has led other teachers. You can build an agent live in front of a skeptical engineer, diagnose what isn't working in a technical lab, and make the material better. You can also watch an experienced instructor teach, tell them their session isn't ready yet, and coach them to get there. You will report to the Head of Technical Enablement. The role is based in San Francisco with some travel expected. Key responsibilities Lead from the front. Teach hands-on sessions to new Applied AI engineers, our field teams, and partner cohorts, in rooms from 12-person labs to 100-person training days. Build the instructor bench. Hire and develop instructors and curriculum developers. Decide contract renewals, and recommend conversions to full-time, against criteria you define. Set the quality bar. Own the observation rubric, dry-run protocol, and cleared-to-teach process for every instructor-led technical session. Scale through train-the-trainer. Set the bar the Lead Technical Instructor's train-the-trainer program teaches to, for internal experts, contract instructors, and partner facilitators. Turn expertise into instruction. Turn internal experts' content into sessions and labs that work in a live room. Enable programs without owning them. Staff other teams' programs with cleared instructors, and own the quality of instruction inside them. Measure and improve. Report learner pass rates per instructor each month, and act on them. Minimum qualifications 8+ years of relevant professional experience across software engineering, solutions engineering, developer advocacy, technical education, or related technical roles. 4+ years of hands-on technical instruction. You have taught engineers live and hands-on, across audience sizes. Production engineering. You have written and shipped production software and engage credibly with experienced engineers on architecture and debugging. Recent hands-on AI development. In your last three years of work, you have built or debugged applications with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, tool use, MCP, or similar. People leadership. You have managed instructors, trainers, developer advocates, or solutions engineers, including hiring and performance management, and kept teaching. Instructor development. You have designed or run a train-the-trainer program, instructor certification, or observation framework. San Francisco location. You are based in San Francisco or willing to relocate with our relocation support, can be in the office every day a program runs, 3 days in a normal week, and can travel 25 to 30 percent. Preferred qualifications A portfolio of sessions you taught and a rubric or certification you designed, shared only if you have the right. Experience building an instruction or developer-education function from scratch. Experience managing a contractor instructor bench, or clearing instructors across regions from recordings or trained observers. Daily use of Claude Code or a comparable agentic coding tool, or building on Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Microsoft Foundry. Deep enthusiasm for AI and real care about building it responsibly. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $365,000 — $435,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
